The Winter Solstice chart is very similar to the Summer Solstice chart. That chart indicated that people were feeling very powerful and in charge of their lives. The Winter Solstice shows everyone feeling full of energy, thinking logically and very annoyed that whatever they touch breaks. Throughout the Winter the prevailing attitude will be "Fix it".
Mars, Sun, Pluto and Mercury are in the first house. The public is very sure that it is in charge, and expects corporate America to meet its demands. Another indication is that tastes will change dramatically throughout the winter season.
Jupiter Venus and Neptune are in the second house of earned income. The public has plenty of cash, but refuses to spend it unless they perceive a valuable asset will result from the purchase. The issue continues to be credit and interest rates and the public insists on fair value.
Uranus is in the 3rd and folks are only interested in buying communications equipment that is extremely unusual or at least Pink or Aquamarine. The same is true with vehicles. Also demographics do not support a surge in vehicle purchases. The baby boomlet is 12-18 years old, and not in the market for a new car. However, used cars might have an up tick in sales as Spring approaches.
Saturn in the ninth indicates on going legal issues and no one wants to solve them. Judges and lawyers need to watch their health. Saturn in ninth indicates problems in the shipping industry. Pirates, a proliferation of oil tankers and winter weather are enough to keep all shippers on the alert. The Saturn opposition Uranus is three/nine indicating the the automotive industry will probably have to settle their problems in a court of law.
Moon in the 10th shows changes in management. Of course in the USA we expected a change in Government since Bush had a term limit. The Moon is in Libra, therefore, it should be an easy and fair transition and Obama will enjoy popular approval. The Moon in the 10th also indicates further management changes for corporations. The employees of these companies will also like the regime change. Stocks in these companies will probably increase in value. Read your financial newspapers and keep up with management changes. They usually indicate an upward movement in price.

Everyone is worried about the general economy, however this is a good time to just enjoy what you have and learn to use your new gifts. Use the energy to double check all of your stuff that plugs into the wall or runs on batteries, if it doesn't work take it back, now. The energy will spill over to the week ahead and give the markets their year end push.
Saturn turns retrograde on December 31. CFO's go back to their offices and pour over their books. Saturn Rx in a business that relies on the ingenuity of the employees is desirable in a business chart. Since you will be in a thrifty mood, use this week to make a budget for yourself and your business.
Jupiter changes signs from Capricorn to Aquarius on January 5 and that means the emphasis on sectors will change. Jupiter in Aquarius means the surplus will be in electronics, and entertainment. The shortages will be in garbage (fertilizer) and food. The financial mess will continue with a small supply of survivors among the financial institutions. On January 11th Mercury turns retrograde and Direct on February 2nd. The next three weeks will find everyone trying to fix everything and nothing works. Avoid buying stuff that sells for more than $10. Do not start a new business, start a new job or start a new project. There are no bargains out there that won't be available February 2nd for a lower price. Rent a car if you need one to get to work. Traders are encouraged to take a vacation. Investors are encouraged to research their ideas, take notes, and keep their money in their pockets.

Venus turns retrograde on March 8 for 40 days. This means you have no taste. This also limits your day to day income. It also means keep to your budget and avoid purchasing luxury items. It would be a good time to put more cash in your emergency fund. Venus Rx has a quieting effect on the markets and indicates a good time to review your portfolio. If something is not performing as you had hoped, think about the timing to get rid of it. Venus turns direct April 16. This will be one of those years when the end of April is a good time to return to cash.
