Marlene, aka Marley, was born
May 27, 1948 at 1:18 pm in Pittsburgh, PA. A Gemini
with an interest in almost everything under the sun,
she is a wife, homemaker, mother of four, and grandmother
of five. Marlene has studied astrology for over
30 years, and has completed all the training and testing
required by the International Society for Astrological
Research (ISAR) to be a Certificated Professional Astrologer;
she also holds a Certificate from the National
Council of Geocosmic Research (NCGR) Level I. She
is a member of NCGR, ISAR and The International Society
of Business Astrologers (ISBA).
Marlene also holds a Certificate
in Electronic Publishing/Web Production, enjoys photography,
music, art, sports, and is fortunate enough to be able
to spend time doing all the things she enjoys and still
find time to travel with her husband. Click

Memoriam Kaye Shinker, March
18, 1940 - November 18, 2011. The astrological
world has lost a great teacher who contributed much
to the study of financial astrology as well as the world
in which she lived.
It is with deep sorrow that I share the sad news that
my friend and business partner Kaye Shinker has passed
from this world. Kaye loved teaching, it was her
joy, her passion to share with others what she knew.
We will all miss her wisdom.
At the end of her life she
was actively teaching students of financial astrology,
writing articles for the web site, blogging on the astrologicalinvesting
blog, traveling for speaking engagements and personal
consulting. Kaye had been elected Director
for Education on the NCGR Board and was serving on the
NCGR-PAA Board of Examiners.
BIO - Kaye
was born March 18, 1940 4:44 pm in Portsmouth, Ohio.
She attended the University of Illinois and graduated
from Roosevelt University in Chicago, although she said
her real education was from 18.5 years of owning a printing
business with her husband in Chicago. They retired at
age 55. Three weeks later started a new business
racing thoroughbred horses. Kaye earned the NCGR
Level IV Certification in Counseling and Education as
well as the ISAR CAP Certification. Kaye loved
to talk about everyone's favorite subject - money -
the marketplace, where to look for bargains and what
to avoid.

Marlene Pfeifle approaches the market from a different
point of view than her former partner Kaye Shinker did.
Marley's point of view is to select fundamentally strong
stocks in the financial sector's receiving dynamic Jupiter
transits, and using technical and geocosmic analysis,
buys and holds for short to intermediate periods of
time. Marley is an active intermediate trader
and trades both common stocks and ETF's. Kaye
was her first financial astrology teacher who always
pointed out that selecting equities that will outperform
the market over the long term and slowly gain in valuation
was what she wanted to teach her students. Kaye
was a member of two stock clubs and before each club
met, she always had a recommended list of stocks for
each club to study.

investing" and up popped 2,660,000 hits.
I guess lots of people keep track of the stars
and planets as they pick their investments.
I found Astrological
Investing.com, a good place to start learning
about financial astrology. The site is well
organized and has lots of interesting articles
by Kaye Shinker and Marlene Pfeifle, the site's
principal contributors.
Financial astrology is
not for me, but there are a multitude of approaches
to investing, so if studying the heavens works
for you, keep looking at the sky.
